Help protect your home by using some of these safety measures before your departure:
  • Suspend your newspaper and mail delivery; or have a neighbor collect them for you.
  • Don't tell people you are going to be away.
  • Set your lights on timers in various rooms to come on and go off at different times.
  • Inform a neighbor or friend when you're leaving and returning and ask them to keep an eye out for anything suspicious. Be sure to leave them a contact phone number in the event of an emergency.

Absolute Must Do Places to see and Experience in your Lifetime
If Australia and New Zealand are not on that list, they need to be!
Australia  New Zealand

Yes, it's on the other side of the globe, but it's well worth the trip. Re-set your clock to Down Under time and enjoy all the magnificent sights.

For those that prefer escorted tours ....
Tauck World Discovery offers a 20 day tour from Melbourne to Christchurch. Expert guides will accompany you on a comprehensive itinerary including sights such as:
  • Australia:  UNESCO World Heritage site Great Barrier Reef, mystical Ayers rock in the Outback, cosmopolitan Sydney with bridge walking and one of my favorites - koala and kangaroo viewing at Featherdale Wildlife Park!. Then venture into the Blue Mountains outside of Sydney.
  • New Zealand:  Shotover Jet boating adventure outside Queenstown along with Fjordland National Park, Milford Sound cruise and of course - sheep shearing on a private farm; to name a few of the stops on this comprehensive, exhilarating land tour of Down Under.

 For the independent traveler ....
  • Driving yourself or private touring with a driver/guide is also an option. Signs are all in English.
  • Farm stays are a must do for one or two nights. It's a great way to meet the local Kiwi's.

Don't put it off any longer; it's time to make the trip while you're still youthful and adventuresome.

Reid Travel will work with you on deciding which of the many opportunities "down under" you want to experience.
